Spaghetti challenge

This week in Rimu we have been doing the spaghetti challenge. We had to use 10 marshmallows and 40-50 raw pieces of spaghetti. The challenge was to be the biggest tower that was able to support an egg. We had to try two designs before we found the one that worked. It was an Eiffel Tower design, it was tiny but it worked. We really wanted to eat the marshmallows. I learnt that a bigger base helped the tower to balance.

  1. It is great to read (and see) that you persevered and tried different ideas. I think this may have been the main aim of The Spaghetti Challenge as opposed to seeing who built the tallest tower. Do you think that you shared your ideas well and listened to others?

I look forward to your next blog post.
